there was a jubilee ceremony - 50 years of professional work - director of GBP Luzino Maria Krośnicka. The meeting was opened by Mrs. Barbara Gusman, director of the County Public Library in Wejherowo. She greeted the guests with warm words - representatives of poviat and commune authorities, directors of communal public libraries, school principals from the area of the Luzino commune, representatives of the Regional Dramatic Theater from Luzino, representatives of associations, employees of the library in Luzino as well as friends and relatives of the Jubilarian.
In the official part, the laudation was given by the Deputy Mayor of Wejherowski, Jacek Thiel, Mayor of the Luzino Commune Jarosław Wejer, Chairman of the Luzino Commune Council Bartłomiej Formela, Councilor and Chairwoman of the Social Program Council operating at the library in Luzina Aleksandra Meyer, directors of primary schools in Luzino Kazimierz Bistroń and Dariusz Rompca, president Pro Brono Association Zofia Botulińska, the president of ZK-P / o Luzino Mieczysław Bistroń and individual representatives of friendly institutions, colleagues of the Jubilarian. Recalling the years of working together, they expressed their admiration for Maria Krośnicka for her cultural and social activities, and thanked her for her support in the implementation of many joint projects.
The Mellowell team performed in the second part of the meeting. Over coffee and a jubilee cake, talks were held about the cultural events of the past years and about the future and further plans.
Maria Krośnicka has been working in cultural institutions for fifty years. Maria's mother worked as a librarian and this passion was passed on to her daughter, who also devoted her entire professional life - after graduating from the State Cultural and Educational Study and Librarianship in Wrocław - to librarianship. Initially, she worked as a librarian at the County and Municipal Public Library in Wejherowo, and then as the director of the Municipal Cultural Center in Luzino. And since 1990, he has been the director of cultural dissemination institutions - the Municipal Public Library and GOK. The main motive for working in a rural environment was and is to provide equal opportunities between rural and urban youth by conducting artistic and educational activities.
Fifty years of work with books and people who read books made Maria Krośnicka a symbol of cultural life in Luzino. Indeed, in the last half-century, there has not been a cultural event whose animator, organizer or co-organizer was not Ms. Lila (this is what she is commonly called in the Luziny community). Giving names to schools in the Luzino commune and Wejherowo poviat, e.g. Primary School No. Lech Bądkowski, Primary School No. 2 of prof. Gerard Labuda (former Kashubian-Pomeranian Writers Gymnasium), the mere naming of the Library of Leon Roppl in Luzin, co-creation and active activity in the Luziny branch of the Kashubian-Pomeranian Association, hundreds of meetings with authors, promotion of many books, participation in the National Reading are just some examples of Maria Krośnicka's activities, which always went beyond her standard professional duties. Maria Krośnicka's work as an animator of theatrical life in Luzino deserves special attention. Undoubtedly, her actions resulted in a revival of the pre-war theater movement in Luzino. The Amateur Dramatic Theater, which has been operating in Luzino to this day, has achieved many successes on stages not only in Poland. The stage plays directed by Maria Krośnicka were most often performed in the Kashubian language and have always become cultural events, detailed information on this subject can be found in the book "80th anniversary of the Regional Theater from Luzina".
Ms Maria is the author or co-author of many articles and book publications. Many years of friendship with professor Gerard Labuda ultimately contributed to the establishment of the Książnica im. prof. Gerard Labuda.
It seems that Maria Krośnicka's entire professional life focused on literature and broadly understood Kashubian matters. Her actions became proof of the Kashubian nature of Luzińska Land. She always treated her work as a mission, she never closed herself in a book, went out to people with whom she lived and co-created the world of culture in Luzino.
