Daffodils in the library
We invite you to plant daffodils together on the bank of the library on Monday 12.00 - 13.00
The Commune Library in Luzino joined the social and educational Daffodils campaign organized by
POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews
The action, which is to commemorate the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, is inextricably linked by the slogan "Memory binds us". It emphasizes the strength of the community, the importance of solidarity, and the need for dialogue beyond divisions. We believe that the memory of the past is one of the overarching values that unite us and give us a common identity - regardless of our worldview or political sympathies.

Why daffodils?
One of the ghetto survivors was Marek Edelman, the last leader of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. On April 19, on the anniversary of the Uprising, he placed a bouquet of yellow flowers at the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes in Muranów. The POLIN Museum continues this tradition by distributing thousands of paper daffodils during each anniversary celebration.
